John
Finkelmann is an associate attorney of the firm. He
received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan,
Ann Arbor in 1999, and his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University
School of Law in 2003. He is currently completing his Masters in
Business Administration at Wayne State University and expects to
graduate in Summer 2010.
He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court - Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the Northern District of Ohio.
Much of Mr. Finkelmann's practice involves representing condominium and community associations for all of their legal needs, but he has significant legal experience in Bankruptcy and creditor's rights where he practiced for three years prior to joining the firm. Having recently moved from a condominium unit where he had been a resident for approximately eight years, Mr. Finkelmann brings that perspective to serving the firm's clients. He is a frequent speaker on community association issues, and has given presentations for both United Condominium Owners of Michigan and the Michigan Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. In addition to practicing law and furthering his education, he enjoys spending time with his family and watching Detroit sports teams, especially the Detroit Lions.
