Wayne Wegner

Wayne G. Wegner is the principal attorney in the firm. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan in 1968, his Masters in Business Administration from Wayne State University in 1972 , and his Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1975. He taught condominium law and management classes for many years at Macomb Community College, and frequently speaks on those subjects.  He was one of the co-authors for amendments to the Michigan Condominium Act.  He is a past-President of the Michigan Chapter of the Community Associations Institute, has served on its board for many years and speaks at its annual conference and trade show.  He is also a regular speaker at the United Condominium Owners of Michigan annual conference and has significant expertise in dealing with condominium and community associations in all aspects of their operation, from developer matters, construction defects, collections, bylaw amendment and enforcement as well as general board guidance.

In addition to his representation of many condominium and community associations, much of Mr. Wegner's practice includes real estate planning, trusts, wills and probate, general real estate, along with small business and corporate matters and family law.  His strong business background gives him an excellent perspective in advising clients with any small business-related issue, including the establishment of the business entity, stockholder and buy-sell agreements, and the purchase or sale of businesses.  He frequently assists families in dealing with their estate plans, both in their creation, implementation, and ultimately their administration.

He is a member of the Macomb County Probate Bar Association, the Macomb County Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the Association of Credit Collection Professionals and the Christian Legal Society.  He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court - Eastern District of Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals - Sixth District.
